This custom 16’ food trailer for Pipeline Malasadas is more than just a build, it’s a mobile kitchen designed to carry on the legacy of malasadas, a beloved Portuguese dessert that traces back to Madeira and the Azores. Traditionally made for Carnival (Fat Tuesday), malasadas were a way to use up sugar and lard before Lent, deep-fried dough, rolled in sugar, and served hot.

Over time, malasadas made their way to Hawaii with Portuguese immigrants in the late 1800s, where they became a staple of island food culture, now known for their soft, fluffy interior and rich fillings like custard, chocolate, and haupia.

Now that same tradition is heading to Las Vegas, built into a fully custom food trailer designed for high-volume production, consistent quality, and real-world durability. From fryer placement to workflow efficiency, every detail is engineered to help Pipeline Malasadas deliver fresh, authentic malasadas at scale.
