Your Food Trailer Is Down. We Get You Back Up.

A broken water pump. A refrigeration unit failing mid-service. An equipment installation that needs to be done right the first time. Whatever’s keeping your trailer off the road, our team has seen it, and fixed it, hundreds of times.

Quality Trailers has been building and servicing food trailers for over 25 years from our Portland, OR facility. When something goes wrong, you want the people who built it to fix it.

Every Hour Your Trailer Is Down Is Revenue You're Not Making

We don’t say that to create pressure, we say it because we’ve worked with food operators long enough to know exactly what’s at stake when a trailer goes down. A broken refrigeration unit at 6am before a Saturday market isn’t just an inconvenience. It’s a lost day of revenue, angry customers, and wasted inventory.

Our repair team treats every service request with that urgency. Fast diagnosis. Accurate repair. Back to operational as quickly as possible.

We Don't Just Repair Food Trailers: We Build Them.

Our repair technicians are the same people who fabricate these units from scratch. That means faster diagnosis, accurate repairs, and zero guesswork on food trailer-specific systems.
Service Focus General Repair Shop Quality Trailers Repair Team
System Knowledge Unfamiliar with food trailer-specific systems Intimate knowledge of all trailer systems
Parts Availability May not carry correct parts Direct access to manufacturer-spec parts
Code Compliance Can't advise on complex local code regulations Code compliance expertise built into every repair
Experience Learning your unique setup as they go 25+ years of dedicated food trailer-specific experience

There’s a meaningful difference between taking your food trailer to a general welder or mechanic versus bringing it to the team that manufactures them.

General technicians are doing their best, but food trailers have unique systems: specialized water pump configurations, ventilation requirements around commercial refrigeration, gas line standards for cooking equipment under commercial hoods, and code requirements that vary by state. Getting these wrong doesn’t just cost money; it can cost your health permit.

Our repair team lives in this world. They know the difference between how a bottom-mount Everest compressor is accessed versus a side-mount unit. They know the PSI specs your water pump should be hitting. They know what Washington L&I and Oregon health departments look for.

That knowledge makes every repair faster, more accurate, and less expensive than the trial-and-error approach.

ALREADY BOUGHT NEW EQUIPMENT? WE'LL INSTALL IT RIGHT.

Upgraded your refrigeration? Added a new flat-top or fryer? Sourced a specialty piece of cooking equipment? Our team handles professional installation in your existing trailer, whether it was built by us or someone else.

Equipment Installation Rates:

  • Cooking or refrigeration unit: $450 per piece
  • Includes: gas lines, testing, securing, and refrigeration venting
  • Electric equipment under a hood (e.g., refrigerated chef base): add $350 for shunt-trip breaker installation
  • Larger units may carry additional handling charges, we’ll quote transparently

Proper installation isn’t just about function. It’s about your warranty, your code compliance, and the safety of your staff and customers. Don’t let a DIY installation void your equipment warranty or create a health inspection problem.

Food Trailer Refrigeration Problems? We Know These Systems Cold.

Refrigeration failure is one of the most common, and most consequential, issues food trailer operators face. Lost inventory, forced closures, and expensive emergency calls are the typical result when operators don’t have the right service partner.

Here’s what makes our refrigeration service different:

Our facility primarily uses Everest Refrigeration units, which hold a patent on their Fully Replaceable, All-In-One Refrigeration System. This means:

  • Bottom-mount compressor units are accessed from the front aisleway, no pulling units out, no cutting caulk
  • Side-mount undercounter units exhaust properly through wall vents we install during the build
  • Full compressor assembly replacement is possible when needed, no junking the entire unit
  • Warranty coverage includes: 3-year parts & labor, 5-year electrical, 10-year compressor

We service non-Everest units as well, though access and repair complexity can vary by design.

Custom Builds for Every Island Food Concept

Your water system is mission-critical. Low pressure, leaks, contamination risks, or a failed pump shuts down your entire operation. Our team services all food trailer water systems:

  • Fresh Water Tanks (80-gallon standard), inspection, repair, replacement
  • Grey Water Systems (135-gallon standard), full servicing and repair
  • NSF Water Pump Service: calibration, repair, and replacement (adjustable 30–50 PSI, factory-standard 45 PSI shut-off)
  • Plumbing Lines: leak detection, fitting replacement, line repair

Reverse Flow Prevention: ensuring one-way operation is maintained for health code compliance
